Network-capable single-feed check scanner for distributed RDC deployments. Ethernet connectivity allows shared access across a local network without a dedicated host PC per device. Magnetic MICR read head.
This scanner includes a magnetic MICR read head that reads the iron-oxide-encoded characters at the bottom of the cheque. The magnetic signal provides a primary read for the routing number, account number, and cheque number. An optical read of the same characters is typically used as confirmation or fallback.
