High-speed reader/sorter replacement designed to take over from legacy "Big Iron" production machines now out of manufacture and past support. Approximately 4 feet long with 12 logical exit pockets and continuous-feed input (300-item hopper; items can be added while running). Waterfall sorting routes items across pockets based on MICR, OCR, or barcode. Up to 4-line endorser.

MICR read head present
This scanner includes a magnetic MICR read head that reads the iron-oxide-encoded characters at the bottom of the cheque. The magnetic signal provides a primary read for the routing number, account number, and cheque number. An optical read of the same characters is typically used as confirmation or fallback.
